Well, I got another hair cut on Saturday. I got about 3 or 4 inches cut off and got bangs again. I love it. What do you think? Jess also cut it shorter in the back. I forgot to take some pictures of the back and side. I will post later, if I get to it before Christmas. Did you notice what my shirt said? I bought this shirt a few years ago and it says "Call early for your holiday dew"! I thought it very appropriate to wear to my appointment and Jess loved it.

Hi from Puorto Rico!
Well, Mike surprised me with a trip to San Juan! He and a guy from work won a huge award for their company and so we got to come to San Juan for the awards, during their general managers convention. It is 82 degrees and beautiful.
Mike has known for months and didn't tell me where we were going until the airport! I knew it was somewhere warm so I could at least pack!
See you when I get back on Sunday!

hhmm...6, hey?
1. I have never tried Pepsi.
2. I want to publish a book at some point in my life. I would probably only do a children's book but yeah, I am going to write a book.
3. I have an obsession with stamps. Okay, some would call it a collection but I get excited when I see a postage stamp. Who does that! I think, 'Is it one I don't have?' 'Is it one I have never seen before?' I would love to spend money and buy brand new, unused stamps, and just hope that one day they would be worth $$$$ but in reality I would never sell them for the money anyway!!
4. I have had surgery very similar to the one Joseph Smith had but I was lucky enough to have medication to ease the pain! What strength he had.
5. When I was little, I didn't like it when anyone touched me. The smallest touch to the back of my neck would send me into an insanely embarassing temper tantrum. I wouldn't let my mom do my hair so I had the girl mushroom cut. I don't think there is a difference between a mushroom cut for a girl and a mushroom cut for a boy when you are five but whatever, I had it!
6. I have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). I have never been officially diagnosed but I know I have it. When I was younger, if my hand brushed the wall or a piece of furniture as I walked by, I had to touch it again 3 more times so it totalled four. Everything had to be done in fours. If I turned off or on a light switch too fast I was worried that it would start a fire in the wiring or something. Crazy, I know. I would turn the light on again and turn it off more slowly and then make sure it was totally off and pressed all of the way down. I was able to get control of it when I was a teenager but I know it is not totally out of me.

Let the games begin
My family loves playing games. Mike and I don't play them as much anymore and I want to start again.
We had some friends over tonight and we played Amazeing Labryinth and Break the Safe. The first is a slower paced, save yourself kind of game and the second is a face paced, have to finish as a team in 30 minutes.
What games do you have and what do you like to play?
Mike and I have the following games:

Mike and I have the following games:
- Phase 10
- Apples to Apples
- Scrabble
- Boggle
- Yahtzee (this game was invented by a couple while on a trip on their yaht)
- Break the Safe
- Amazeing Labryinth
- Murder Mystery "How to Kill a Mother-in-law"
- Simpsons Trivia
- Trivial Pursuit 90's Edition
- Dutch Blitz
- Ziggity
- Monopoly (the Kelowna version)
On our wish list:
- Balderdash (the newest version that is more then just dictionary definitions)
- Cranium
- Pirate's Cove
- Any game Frasier has
- Clue (Mikes wants Simpsons version)
- Gillateen (spelling?)
- We want to try and get some games that are not just your normal board games; the ones you have to go to a specialty store to get. I think we are at a point in our lives where we want to take our "gaming" to the next level. That was cheesy I know but we just want to get some different games.
I have to say that the best part of playing games is the time spent with family. I know my body is now starting to reject all of those treats I ate while playing games with my family, but for the memories made, it was worth every bite!

Halloween Cuteness
Just read!
I just finished two wonderful books, by Deanne Gist. She is Christian which makes me feel good knowing that her books are decent. Well, the two I have read so far anyway. These books are called The Measure of a Lady and A Bride Most Begrudging. Thanks to my good friend Jess who lent me the books, I was able to find myself in another world, feeling like I was almost right there with Mary and Constance in the Colony or with Mary by the beach in San Fransisco.
Ahh...to read and get away from the world. I love it! Thanks Jess, you are an inspiration.

The Temple
Tomorrow I get to go to the temple. It is so nice that our ward rents a bus and brings a whole bunch of our ward at once. It is so good to get to know people on a different level. I am sad that Mike probably won't be coming.
I love the peaceful quietness and beauty of the temple. I love the feeling there and the opportunity to get away from the world. I really do feel that I am in a different place and that my worldly worries go away for a few hours. I realized that I don't think I have a picture of Mike and I at the Regina temple. We will have to get one next time. But I will post a few pictures from our wedding (when I can get them to load on here) at the Cardston Temple. The temple president of the Cardston Temple at the time, President Evanson, is now the president of the Regina temple. President Evanson sealed Mike and I so it is always special to see him and his wife.

Look at me!
I got a perm! (if you couldn't tell...ha) I think I am making up for all the years that I never did anything with my hair while growing up. It seems as though every week I want to do something new. I've had my hair cut I don't know how many times, highlights, etc. Here are a couple of pictures of my hair this past year.

It's about time!
We are here! Okay, I check blogs all the time but for some reason have not made our own yet. JoDee even created one before I did! Way to go JoDee! We are doing well. Our biggest news these days is getting our garage built. This is a pretty crappy post for the first one but oh well. We are here and that's all that matters. Until next time....
